James and Mariska Joicey will be at various events this summer particularly at events for the RNLI 200th Anniversary. Obviously all dates are subject to change for weather but currently plans are to sail early May to Guernsey via Fowey and Salcombe to be in St Peter Port to celebrate Liberation Day on May 9th.
From there we’ll make our way to Poole on May 17th, 18th & 19th where we have the honour of being invited to represent the Solent Class Lifeboats at the official RNLI 200th Celebration event. This should be a spectacular event with all historic lifeboat classes, the current classes and foreign SAR organisations being in attendance, a great atmosphere no doubt, hopefully see you there!
After Poole we’ll head back to Falmouth May 20th, likely calling in at Salcombe and posslbley Fowey, tides and weather permitting.
After a period of maintenance on our home mooring we have been invited to attend the RNLI 200th events at Fowey June 8 & 9th and Falmouth 14th, 15th & 16th June. We will consider other events as they come up.
Meanwhile we have a plethora of ongoing restoration and general maintenance tasks to do and will be pressing on with them, including repainting the whole boat!
